Kosmo Foto’s upcoming photowalk is something a bit different – we’re paying homage to one of the great works of science fiction (and its author) with a special walk around Woking near London, the setting of H G Wells’ ‘The War of the Worlds’.
Kosmo Foto has teamed with local film photography aficionado Stephen ‘Thrifty’ Thrift who knows the town inside out and has worked out a route for us. And the fine folk at Harman Technology – the makers of Ilford, Kentmere and Harman Photo films – are kindly sponsoring the walk. Every ticketholder gets a roll of Harman Red redscale film to help create some realistic Martian-red atmosphere…
We will be meeting at Woking Station at 11am on Sunday 28 September. The walk should take three or four hours, will regular refreshment and toilet stops. You can, if you have time, also join us for a drink at The Herbert George, a pub named after the famous author.
