Description
Ricoh FF-9 35mm autofocus compact camera, in full working condition, film-tested with three-month warranty.
The Ricoh FF-9 is an autofocus compact camera released by Ricoh in 1988. It’s a rather plain looking camera, but don’t let its slightly dowdy looks put you off – this is a fantastic compact camera and compares well to other models that cost two or three times as much.
The Ricoh FF-9 has a 35mm f/3.5 lens and can focus down to 0.8m (3ft). It can be used with DX coded film from ISO 100 up to 1600 and will default to ISO 100 film if using non-DX canisters. It has an integral pop-up flash which can be over-ridden by pressing down on the flash – doing so also automatically changes the exposure time. Genius!
The FF-9 also has a bunch of different exposure modes which be accessed via a menu button – including infinity mode for landscape, night infinity mode, a multiple-exposure mode, timed interval mode (where the camera takes a shot every 60 seconds) and a TV mode that will take a flicker-free image of a TV screen. Because who doesn’t need that?
I’ve reviewed the camera for Kosmo Foto, and you can also see a video on it here. I consider the FF-9 to be one of THE BEST affordable compact cameras.
