KMZ Helios-44M 58/2 (M42)

Description

KMZ Helios-44-2 58/2 lens in M42 mount, in fully working condition with three-month warranty.

The Helios-44 58mm lens is one of the classic lenses made by the USSR’s photographic industry during the Cold War and produced in a number of different versions. This is one of the many versions made for M42 mount Zenit SLRs like the Zenit-11 and Zenit-12XP.

The Helios-44 lenses are famous for eye-catching out-of-focus highlights (bokeh) when shot wide open and have been snapped up by digital shooters and videographers. A vast array of adaptors can be bought to attach these to DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.

This example is in excellent optical condition with no sign of any fungus or haze.

The aperture moves smoothly. Click stops are firm and snappy. There is no sign of oil on the aperture blades.

There are no dings or dents on the filter ring.

All focus and aperture markings on the barrel are legible. There are no chips or scrapes to the paint.
