Canon AE-1 w/ 50/1.4 (Film tested) – SOLD

Description

Canon AE-1 35mm SLR with 50/1.4 lens, fully working and film tested with three-month warranty.

The Canon AE-1 needs little in the way of introduction: it’s one of the most iconic film SLRs ever made, notching up sales of more than five million since its release in 1976. It was one of the first SLRs to feature a microprocessor and shutter-priority exposure, making it very easy to use.

This example is in excellent condition, without the squeaky shutter that can sometimes plague these cameras over time. The exposure system is spot on and the prism is nice and clear. The shutter works as it should at all speeds without sign of any shutter drag.

This camera comes not with the 50/1.8 lens but the pricier Canon FD 50/1.4, which can retail on its own for more than £100.
