Italian photographic dealer Ars-Imago has released a new agitation module for its Lab-Box daylight tank.

The module, called the M-Box, fits into the existing Lab-Box and is programmable for automatic agitation according to the desired recipe.

Announcing the module, Ars-Imago said: “M-Box is an innovative accessory designed to optimize the development of photographic films. Compatible with the Lab-Box system, it automates agitation during processing, simplifying the process and improving results.”

First launched in 2017, the Lab-Box is a modular daylight processing tank that can be used to process both 35mm and 120, and Ars-Imago said it had become “one of the most popular products in the analogue photography scene. M-Box fits perfectly into this context, maintaining the same elegant and functional design.

  • Compact and portable
  • Three agitation settings available for each stage of the process from development to washing
  • Programme selection knob and LED lights to indicate charge level
  • Compatible with both 35mm and 120 development module
  • Silicone cap to protect battery compartment during operation
  • Four rechargeable batteries charged via a supplied USB-C cable
  • Battery life of between 60 to 70 minutes
