Fujifilm has launched a new instant camera called the Instax Mini 41.
The new camera is said to be an improvement on the earlier Instax Mini 40, which was released in 2021.
Among the camera’s improvements is a parallax correction like the one found in the Instax Mini 12.
The new camera is expected to be available from retailers at the end of April. Fujifilm has said that the camera will be available in Japan from 17 April.
Fujifilm Japan said in a press release: “The Mini 41 is an analogue instant camera that enhances the design and features of the popular Instax Mini 40 (Mini 40), known for its classic camera design that appeals to a wide range of users.
“While maintaining the Mini 40’s classic design, the Mini 41 incorporates a sleek and stylish look with black and dark-toned silver as the base colours, accented with a touch of orange. This makes it an attractive fashion accessory as well.

“The Mini 41 features a “close-up mode” that prevents discrepancies between the viewfinder field and the actual printout area in close-ups. With enhanced “Automatic Light Adjustment”, the Mini 41 automatically determines the correct exposure for a given scene, ensuring the best brightness for each shooting scene. These functions make it easy for anyone to capture beautifully clear and well-composed shots.”

Fujifilm has not yet released pricing for the new camera, though Kosmo Foto has already seen pre-order pages for UK retailers listing the camera little below £100 ($125).

The camera has an eye-catching textured design, which nods to camera design from the 1960s and 70s. Fujifilm has also launched a matching case for the camera, which can be seen above.
The camera is compatible with all of Fujifilm’s Instax Mini range, including the white frame, black frame and monochrome films.
