Lens maker TTArtisan has launched a new folding camera which shoots Instax film.
The camera, called the Folding Instant Camera, was unveiled at the CP+ photography show in Yokohama, Japan, and has since been announced on the Chinese lens manufacturer’s Instagram page.
TTArtisan said: “Introducing TTArtisan’s New Folding Instant Camera.
“Fold it, snap it – capture moments in retro style and watch memories pop out instantly.
See it FIRST at CP+ 2025 in Japan – stay tuned for the official launch!”
The camera takes Fuji Instax film and appears to be available in a number of colours, including red, blue and orange.
According to details published on the Instagram announcement, the camera features:
- A Cooke Triplet lens design
- Spring-loaded shutter which does not require batteries
- Soft bokeh
- Bulb mode for long exposures
Other technical specs of the camera have yet to be published.

The camera appears similar to the Chinese-made Seagull 203 folding camera, though with a projecting box to house the folding assemblage in front of the camera.
The new camera is the first camera design from TTArtisan, which produces lenses in Leica M-mount, Leica Screw Mount and M42 aswell as various mounts for digital cameras.
There is currently no information on when the camera will be released or how much it will retail for.
The camera comes as another Chinese lens manufacturer, Light Lens lab, has announced it is launching a film production project, with a new black-and-white film already at the testing stage.
Kosmo Foto has contacted TTArtisan for more details and will publish them when they become available.

From the pictures it seems to shoot Instax Mini, hopefully they will have models that shoot ideally both Instax Square & Instax Wide.
