Lomography has announced a new 35mm half-frame model of the Diana camera which will replace the Diani Mini discontinued earlier this year.
The camera is a half-frame 35mm version of the Diana camera and is called the Lomourette.
Lomography said in a press release: “A charming companion designed to ignite creativity, dive head first into an analogue affair with the half-frame Lomourette 35 mm camera. Petite and captivating, this delightful companion captures 72 irresistible half frames per roll of 35 mm film – each bursting with vivid saturation and dreamy vignettes.

“Imagine the soft caress of a gentle breeze on a summer day, the glimmer of sunlight on rippling water, or the tender curve of a loved one’s smile With the Lomourette, these moments aren’t just captured, they’re spun into delightful tales within each half frame.”
It added: “When shooting half-frame, a roll of film lasts ages! You never need to stop, using multiple exposures and long exposures to your heart’s content, plus the powerful flash with colored filters for extra experimentation! Every click becomes an amourette, an affair of the visual senses – there’s no limit to the Lomourette love affair.”
While the camera is only being actively publicised by Lomography now, it appears the camera was soft-released earlier in the year in Asia.
Canny Cameras’ Alan Duncan ordered a copy of the camera via an Asian distributor and reviewed it on his site in April.
The camera is currently available in two versions in the UK, the mint-green and cream Picnic edition (£65), and the blue Water Lilies edition (£75).

The US version of the Lomography site also lists another model in the traditional blue and black Diana colour scheme.
The camera has a fixed shutter speed of 1/60 plus B, and aperture of f/8 and f/11, as well as a tripod mount, hot shoe and the ability to shoot multiple exposures.
