Kosmo Foto has just launched a new subscriber-only newsletter.
Called ‘Advance/Rewind’, the newsletter is free to sign up to and offers something a bit different to what’s offered on the blog.
We currently have nearly 3,000 subscribers who get a weekly email collecting the stories published on the blog in the previous seven days, and the occasional update on new products and cameras in our online camera shop Cameraburo.
But I’ve long thought that a newsletter – offering something that you won’t be able to read on the blog – would be nice extra for those who’ve signed up to follow the site. With a bit of time last Friday and Saturday I was able to get the first one done and dusted and sent out to Kosmo Foto’s subscribers.
Here’s what we’re planning to include in future newsletters:
Upcoming stories: While not every story on Kosmo Foto is planned far in advance, there are some things that I work on for some time, especially the reviews of cameras and films.
Updates: Not every update or piece of news merits a new post on the blog but makes sense to include on something like this.
Cameraburo updates: There’s quite a bit planned on the Cameraburo front this year (shows and pop-ups at London’s Aperture Printing) and we’ll be teasing some of the most rare/interesting/sought-after items coming to the shop in forthcoming newsletters before they hit the shop.
New products: Kosmo Foto film will be coming back in stock throughout the year, starting with Mono 35mm in June. We’ll let people know when film is available to pre-order via the newsletter before it’s announced on the blog.
Archive articles: We’ll be highlighting some of the articles from Kosmo Foto’s archive
We’re planning to send out ‘Advance/Rewind’ two or three times a month.
