Praktica IV F 35mm M42-mount SLR with Carl Zeiss Jena 50/2.8 lens, filter and original case, film-tested and in perfect working order.
The Praktica IV F is one of a number of stylish looking SLRs made by VEB Pentacon in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It has a characteristic humped pentaprism and a film advance lever on the bottom plate, making it look very different to the standardised Praktica L series of the 1970s and 80s.
This camera comes with a solid Carl Zeiss Jena 50/2.8 lens with 49mm skylight filter attached, as well as the original fitted case.
The Praktica and lens are both in perfect working condition, with no holes in the shutter or light leaks. Speeds are accurate, though I have not shot with the very slow speeds. It has been film tested.
Pics in the accompanying gallery were shot on Fomapan 100 film in summer 2018. The camera has been tested since with another lens – you can see these pics here.
The camera and lens come with a 90-day warranty.
