The Olympus Trip 35 is the original cult compact, a stalwart of holidays from the 1960s to the 1980s.
Very much the camera for special occasions, the Trip 35 features a foolproof auto exposure system – set the camera to “A”, and the camera will choose one the right aperture and one of two shutter speeds, 1/40 or 1/200. No batteries are needed because the exposure system is run off a large selenium meter built around the lens. More than 10 million of these cameras are thought to have been made between 1968 and 1982. They’re simplicity itself to operate, and the Zuiko 40/2.8 lens is nothing less than sensational.
This example is in great condition, tested with film. It has no optical defects, scratches, dents or dings (aside from a small blemish on the back of the camera). It comes complete with original strap.
This camera has also been CLAed by Pierro of PPP Cameras and has been thoroughly checked. It comes with a 90-day warranty. It has been film tested.
