Olympus IZM 200 compact camera with 38-80 zoom.
This chunky “compact” camera dates from 1989 and has a 38 to 80 zoom operated with a pair of buttons on the top plate. It was one of a number of cameras in the AZ range.
The camera is larger than most compacts and has an integrated 38-70 zoom lens, an integrated flash and a number of flash and picture modes which can be chosen. The chosen flash or picture mode is shown in an LCD display on the top plate which is still in perfect condition.
The lens zooms in and out smoothly but will occasionally need an extra click on the W setting to retract it from the 80mm setting. Otherwise it is working perfectly – metering is spot on and the flash is working as it should.
A good choice for a weekend away or to take to festivals etc. It comes with a 90-day warranty covering electrical and mechanical defects.
The images in the gallery were taken on very expired Kodak ColorPlus 200 which explains the colour shift.
The camera will require two CR 123 batteries.
