In the world of Soviet compact cameras, the LOMO LC-A is justifiably the most famous but by no means the only name.
The Elikon 535 is an ingenious little compact camera made by BelOMO in what is now Belarus. It has a 35/3.8 zone focus lens that has an automatic exposure system that doesn’t need batteries or selenium to operate. The camera has a system which matches ISO to aperture and shutter speed, changing them according to which weather symbol is chosen (a more complicated version to that found on cameras such as the LOMO Smena Symbol.
