There’s a stack of Kosmonaut posts waiting in the wings after a short break, so I’m starting with this submission from Peter Kruschwitz.
I’ve been following him on Instagram for a while; Peter and his partner bought a 10-pack of Kosmo Foto Mono and are committed film shooters.
Where are you from?
I am from Berlin originally. Currently I live in Reading.
How long have you been shooting film?
I loved shooting film when I was a teenager. I’ve re-discovered it for me as a delightful pastime a few years back, and I love it with a passion.
What cameras do you shoot on?
I mostly use Soviet vintage cameras. In particular, I shoot on a Zorki 1, a Fed-2, a Lubitel 1, and a Moskva-5.
What other films do you like using
My go-to 35mm films tend to be Kentmere 100 and 400. I’ve been fortunate to have been selected by Silberra film, a Russian start-up, to trial their film recently – and I’d like to experiment more.
What are your thoughts about Kosmo Foto Mono?
I love the tonal range, its grain, and – last, but certainly not least, it’s retro design.
What films would you like to see on the market?
I’d like to see more independent 120 roll film.
